Borneo Drone Crop Spraying

Working in Borneo

Most of the work happens before the drone leaves the case.

Distance

Driving from Kota Kinabalu to Tawau, or from Kuching to Miri, takes most of a day. We plan jobs in clusters so the crew is not on the road more than in the field.

Power and water

Spray drones run on batteries that need charging between flights. Remote estates need a generator and fuel. Clean water for mixing is just as important; river water often blocks nozzles.

Peat

Large areas of Sarawak’s coastal plantations are on peat. A drone can work when the ground is too soft for machines, but take off spots still need to be firm and safe.

Rain

Afternoon storms are common. We fly early and keep a buffer day in every schedule.
